Elizabeth Nalli
Elizabeth Nalli is an Austin-based writer, visual artist, actress and singer whose creative life has taken many forms.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in art history, she studied acting at the Yale Drama Summer Conservatory and Beverly Hills Playhouse. She also spent two years as a work scholar at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, exploring storytelling, writing, improvisation, movement, and painting. There, she studied process painting with Michele Cassou and Stewart Cubley. Among her experiences was an intimate group workshop with mythologist Joseph Campbell on the hero's journey.
Her musical journey took her from private vocal study in New York to Hamburg, Germany, where she recorded an album, Deep Breathing, under the name Anjika for which she wrote the lyrics.
Elizabeth's visual art explores color, movement, texture, and possibility through contemporary abstract and mixed-media paintings.
She is currently writing The DoorDash Diaries, a memoir inspired by her unexpected decision to begin delivering food across Austin. Through encounters both humorous and poignant, the book explores reinvention, independence, and human connection.
Across prose, painting, performance, and music, Elizabeth is drawn to the extraordinary possibilities within ordinary life.
